LEARNING OUTCOME #5 & #6

For project #3 I was able to properly cite my sources not only outside of the paper, but while writing it. I worked with three different narratives for this piece; one from the CDC that was from someone during the influenza pandemic of 1918, and then two from classmates about the current pandemic we are going through. Inside the paper to cite them I had put in direct quotes and followed those sentences with their last name in parenthesis. For the works cited page of this paper I cited them properly to how MLA papers are set up and how the sources are supposed to be cited with information in the right order. While citing the sources outside the paper on a works cited page the different sources are arranged by the authors last name, and this was done correctly in this paper.

Localized concerns were brought to my attention from the peer review I got back from my classmates. Throughout the semester I saw a smaller amount of local concerns coming up after each draft, which is a really good improvement on my personal skills on reviewing my own papers before I put them out there. For when I first put out my draft for peer review I did not put in-text citations into the paper which was a quick fix to the paper, but without it, makes the paper unusable. Grammatical errors were not widespread like in my last two papers which proves that I progressed in my ability to write papers. A problem that I throughout all of my papers was trying to insert myself in the narrative to show my beliefs and conclusions on the different ideas in the paper. After getting this note I believe that in the final draft I implemented myself a lot more to make sure the conclusions I was drawing was really coming from me.
